[How People See the Design]
As a foodie like me, it looks like a fried egg no matter how I see it. But when I asked everyone on Instagram, most people said it looked like a “flower” or “Marimekko” pattern. Some even said it looked like a “protozoan” at first! Sometimes, when people imagine dreamy things that I wouldn’t have thought of myself, it makes me feel truly happy as a designer.
I’ve been a short sleeper for as long as I can remember – sleeping only about 5 hours in winter and 3 hours in summer. Back when I lived in Japan and Taiwan, my schedule was always packed: school in the morning, then work and by the time I got home, it was just time to sleep. But since moving to Sweden, there’s not much to do waking up so early, especially because Anders is usually still asleep. So I’d lie in the dark bed with my headphones on, watching YouTube or Netflix.
Recently, after moving to a new place with an extra room, I set up an IKEA sofa bed called “FRIHETEN” so friends can stay over. Now I enjoy summer sunrises lying there, watching TV without headphones. To make this morning relaxation spot even happier, I switched my duvet cover to a soft, silky, cool rayon fabric for the summer!
Anders and I each use our own duvet, so we bought two sets of duvet covers and pillowcases.
