Let me introduce you to my favorite bar from a trip I took last summer to Gothenburg, Sweden’s second-largest city, located four hours by train from Stockholm!

About 20 minutes by tram from the city center, I found myself in a quiet area with nothing much around.
The place had a cozy, retro charm that made me feel at home the moment I walked in.
O/O is a craft brewery based in Gothenburg, and this is their own taproom where they serve a selection of their beers. From crisp pilsners to refined porters, there’s something for every beer lover. And yes, they offer wine by the glass too!
Like we always do, Anders and I told them what kind of flavors we were into, and they gave us some great suggestions. One cool thing about Sweden—you can try samples! So this time, we got to taste a few before making our picks.
The food menu had an Italian vibe, so I went for the pasta—and I was blown away! It was super tasty, with a simple flavor that went perfectly with the beer.
There was this super interesting-looking bottle on the shelf that I couldn’t help but notice! And a fun fact – the name ‘O/O’ comes from the founders of the brewery, Ole and Olof!
I hope we can go back soon again.
