I found my absolute favorite soft licorice candy!
Many Japanese people don’t really like licorice, but I enjoy the salty ones, the sweet ones and even soft serve with licorice flavor and I eat them often. The ultimate one I finally discovered is this one from 🇮🇸 Iceland.
The softness is unbeatable, the sweetness is mild and I love it so much that I even went around licorice shops in Stockholm to try to find it. But they don’t sell it here, so I bought it online instead.

I first came across this Licorice at NAMMI, a specialty licorice shop I stopped by on the way to a camping trip!
It was in Iceland that the combination of licorice and chocolate was born over fifty years ago.
NAMMI supply all corners of Sweden with a wide range of this Icelandic and addictive combination. They also have Icelandic sea salt, the famous salmiak buttons from Finnish Namitupa, Pindulas from Spain and genuine dried licorice root harvested from the banks of Spanish rivers.
Unfortunately, the store is quite far away (~2 hours with train or car from Stockholm), but since they carry all kinds of products from Nordic countries, I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re interested.
We wish we could buy this licorice in Stockholm too someday. Most stores only have a small selection of NAMMI products.
