A glass coffee cup and saucer I found in the Vatican Museums’ souvenir shop during a trip to Rome in Italy with my best friend in 2018. (I’d completely forgotten where I’d bought it, so I asked my friend.)

ICHENDORF MILANO
Founded in the early 20th century in a small town near Cologne, Germany, Ichendorf Milano has been based in Milan since the 1990s. Its glass tableware, created in collaboration with various designers, is loved worldwide. With a history of over 100 years, the Ichendorf collection is characterized by high-quality, refined designs made with great care – the result of collaborative creations between designers, artists and glass artisans, each piece crafted through traditional hand-blowing techniques.

Strawberry and blackberry coffee cup & saucer! The cup is mini-sized, and I use it for espresso.

The saucer has blackberries and a small ladybug attached to it, so it also looks great as a small plate.

I had a Fika with an Italian pastry I’d been curious about for a while – a Cannoli shaped like an Ice Cream, sold at ICA Supermarket!

A small memory from my trip to Rome and the Vatican Museums!
Inside the palace, it was incredibly crowded and my best friend and I endured the summer heat together as we explored this must-see spot. What moved me the most was Michelangelo’s Last Judgment (Giudizio Universale) painted on the altar of the Sistine Chapel — it was so overwhelming it brought me to tears. Later, when I saw the scene again in the film The Two Popes, I was deeply moved for a second time.

It’s a really great movie about the touching friendship between two very different popes.
I want to visit beautiful Italy again!
