A 46-year-old’s story: I said “I like Crybaby more than Labubu!” and went shopping at Pop Mart – which doesn’t exist in Sweden but does in Denmark – and ended up buying all sorts of characters, including Labubu… It’s just too hard to resist the cuteness of these characters!
Right at the entrance, you can immediately see the most popular character: Labubu! No wonder – it’s just so cute. You can buy both blind boxes and the figures themselves, so everyone in the store was so excited with huge smiles on thier faces and having a blast while shopping. Watching that, I couldn’t help but feel happy too! It’s contagious!

After checking out all the other characters, I finally made it to the Crybaby shelf! Huge respect to Thai creator “Mod” (Nisaan Seekamdee) for bringing these super cute characters to life – so amazing!
Time to show what I got! My main target, Crybaby: scored three boxes of the “CRYBABY Crying Again Series – Vinyl Face Plush Blind Box”!
At first, I got a pink one, which wasn’t really my favorite. I tried again and… another pink! 😅 I couldn’t give up, so I bought one more, and this time I got “What a Frog” – the green frog!🐸
I actually would have preferred the Alice in Wonderland or the bear doll, but my mom loves frog figurines, and I’ve even been told I look a bit like a frog. So I decided to stop buying more of this series and ignored my own preference… but later, I realized the frog might actually be the cutest one!
On my last day in Denmark, they’d just restocked the “CRYBABY Vacation Mode On Series – Vinyl Plush Pendant Blind Box” I grabbed one and opened it after getting back to Sweden… seriously, I want the whole set since it’s just too cute!
And Anders grabbed a few blind box figurines too! His favorites are the Labubu at Wacky Mart and Molly from the Retro Series.
My top pick for blind boxes? Definitely the “MOLLY Carb-Lover Series Figures”! I love every single one – so cute I’d want the full set (all 12 + the secret one). Bread lovers, you’ll die over these!
Last but not least: Labubu from the “THE MONSTERS COCA-COLA SERIES – Vinyl Face Blind Box”! Perfect for Coca-Cola fans, and I got the one I really wanted – holding a Coke bottle!
That’s it for my shopping haul!
After checking later, I realized it would have been cheaper to buy these from a Swedish online shop, so I’ll keep an eye on that next time. But visiting the store was great because you can see the actual figures in person, which helps when choosing your favorite.
All in all, it was a perfect shopping day – and as a graphic designer who also works on character designs, it made me realize how amazing it is when your designs can come to life as figures or plush toys.
