🇩🇰🛍️Østerlandsk Thehus – Tea in stylish tins that make a perfect souvenir from Denmark!

Japanese people can’t resist stylish packaging and cute tins – so here’s a Danish souvenir I can recommend: the tea brand Østerlandsk Thehus!

Department Store:Magasin du Nord
Website:https://www.magasin.dk
📍Kongens Nytorv 13, København, Denmark

Tea Shop:Østerlandsk Thehus
Website:https://www.osterlandskthehus.dk
Location:Basement Level 1 (B1) of the department store

We stopped by this department store to buy our beloved licorice & chocolate from LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW at Magasin du Nord, and that’s how we discovered this shop. I’ll be introducing it using photos from that visit, but there are several other locations as well – be sure to check Google Maps to find one near you!

On the left in the photo are the large tins featuring their signature special blends, with sample jars available so you can smell each tea before choosing. On the right are smaller tins containing a few tea bags each – perfect if you want to buy several different flavors.

Every blend smelled so irresistible that I couldn’t decide – but the large tins were just too cute, so I ended up buying three of them!

↓ Introducing them from left to right in the photo
❤️ Copenhagen Blend, 125g (Product Page)
Ingredients: Black tea, green tea, mango flakes, coconut chips, flavoring, freeze-dried rhubarb
💙 Mermaid Tea, 125g (Product Page)
Ingredients: Green tea, sea buckthorn, aroma, seaweed, freeze-dried gooseberries
🩷 Rosenborg Tea, 125g (Product Page)
Ingredients: Apple pieces, rosehip, fennel, hibiscus flowers, strawberry leaves, rose petals, heather flowers, natural flavoring, linden flowers, raspberry, rhubarb, strawberry

I forgot to take a photo, but I also bought 💛Sweet Lemon – 75 pyramid tea bags (Product Page)
Ingredients: Licorice root, lemongrass, apple, pineapple, aroma.

The tins are about 14.5 cm tall and around 8.5 cm wide, and there are samples available in the store. Each one is a special blend with a wonderful aroma, so be prepared – it might take a while to choose!

On the bottom of the tin, you’ll find the proper brewing instructions and a list of ingredients – use Google Translate’s camera feature to check them!

On this delicatessen floor, you’ll find lots of stylish food souvenirs like chocolate and licorice sweets – but of course, I went straight for the licorice!

The best Danish brand for licorice & chocolate – hands down!
LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW Magasin du Nord

Actually, I went there planning to buy some that day, but Anders said it’s cheaper in Sweden, so I left empty-handed…

There were also lots of other stylishly packaged licorice sweets, as well as gløgg (the traditional Nordic Christmas mulled wine) and more.

And that’s a wrap on my souvenir shopping haul!

This is how we make our Nordic Life Colorful! Enjoy your day!
