A brewpub (brewery + bar) we found and visited earlier this year in the Old Town (Gamla stan): Bryggeri Munkbron.
Not only can you enjoy their house-brewed beers on tap, but they also have bottles from other breweries and, occasionally, guest beers on tap. I also heard they have a solid whisky selection.

It’s located in one of Gamla stan’s landmark buildings, “Petersenska Huset.”
There are two entrances, and it can be a little confusing to find the place👇

Inside, you can peek at the brewing equipment through glass, and the space feels classic and cozy -perfect for a relaxed drink.

Style: Wheat Beer – Other
ABV: 6.0%
IBU: 18 (low bitterness)

👅 Soft, wheat-driven mouthfeel with a refreshing, citrus-leaning vibe and very little bitterness. If you’re expecting the classic banana/clove punch of a traditional Weizen, it may taste quite different—so I recommend asking for a small tasting first.

Style: Lager – Other
ABV: 5.3%
IBU: 23 (mild bitterness)

👅 A slightly malty British-style lager made with the UK malt “Golden Promise,” cold-fermented for a clean finish – full of malt character with a mild, balanced bitterness.
For food, they offer pub snacks that pair well with beer – like a platter of sausages and pickled vegetables.
We ordered the 3-sausage set for two!
