☕️🍪 Warm coffee, warm people – Enjoying quality fika at KERSH, a hidden gem in Södermalm

KERSH, a quite hidden coffee shop in the Södermalm Area, turned out to be a stylish space filled with great coffee and warm, welcoming people.
The coffee shop is quite small, but that also adds to its charm. It has an easygoing atmosphere where people can just pop in for a short break and head out again feeling refreshed.

Alongside their house-roasted coffee, they had a lovely selection of classic Swedish fika treats, especially the kind of small pastries I personally love to enjoy with coffee.

The music was also excellent, and I really loved the overall vibe of everything.

First, the thick cookie, kind of baked chocolate chip cookie!
It was mildly sweet, filled with chocolate in a very refined way, and the texture was just right.

Next was one of my personal favorites: Katalan!
Instead of the firmer, more pastry-like style I expected, this one was soft and fluffy, which made it feel completely different from the cookie. It was delicious too.

Katalan and Mazarin are two small pastries often seen in the Swedish fika culture. Mazarin is a classic pastry made with an almond-flavored tart and topped with white icing, while Katalan is a slightly more vibrant variation with raspberry jam added in. They may look similar, but Katalan has a fruitier flavor, which makes the difference especially enjoyable.

The staff and customers also seemed to know each other well, and the warm atmosphere put me in such a good mood that I ended up buying some coffee beans too.

I was also curious about the one called “Funky,” but for now I decided to buy the Medium I had at the café that day, along with the Dark, which is more our kind of taste at home.

And yes, it was just as delicious at home!
Medium feels soothing and perfect for starting the morning, while Dark gently wraps your fika time in comfort.

When I looked into it, I found that KERSH has been providing high-quality coffee to cafés, restaurants, offices, and individual customers since 2010. That definitely explains why it tastes so good. I’ll be going back for more.

📍 Götgatan 29, Stockholm
The space used to be a tobacco shop, and the TOBAK sign still remains above the door, which gives it a special hidden-gem feel.

⚠️ There are lots of pizza photos on Google Maps, but they don’t have pizza now, so don’t let that confuse you!
When I asked the staff, they kindly explained it and even recommended a nearby pizza place. I really value that kind of thoughtful service, because it can make your whole day feel happier.

Maybe it’s because the TOBAK sign is still there, but the place has this secret-contact-point vibe straight out of a spy movie, and it makes me want to ask the staff, “Has the package arrived?”
I’m so happy I found another place in Stockholm that feels like it’s made with 100% passion.

This is how we make our Nordic Life Colorful! Enjoy your day!
