A short while ago, I introduced “Lagom / Chodoii #1”
This is the design that I came up with after that.
Our newest character is a dog whose personality is definitely not very “lagom”.
But the more you look at him, the more you might start thinking, “Actually… this feels kind of just right”. Welcome to the wonderfully weird world of ugly-cute.
Lagom / Chodoii #2

What does “lagom” mean?
The Swedish word “lagom” can be translated as “just right.”
Not too much, not too little.
Not too big, not too small.
It can be about how much you eat, the space you keep between yourself and others, or the balance of everyday life.
What matters is finding a balance that feels comfortable for you, rather than following someone else’s idea of what is right.
And ideally, it should feel just right not only for you, but for the people around you too.
That is what lagom means to me.
I combined this Swedish way of thinking with a Japanese sense of balance and turned it into an original design filled with color and a little bit of humor.
And now, the ugly-cute rabbit hole is officially open.
So let me introduce our newest character!

Before a walk, warm up with just the right amount of exercise.

At home, find just the right balance in what you wear.

At a hot spring, the water is just the right temperature.

The chair feels just right.
I hope you find your own perfect “lagom” balance too!
